Yesterday I got to sit with a newly postpartum mom. 🥰

Postpartum appointments are always so sweet because we are wrapping up so many months of support and closing the chapter of prepping for birth (for now😉).

Being a doula at these appointments

Just felt the need to share this verse. The Lord keeps reminding me of this sweet truth and I hope it encourages one of you too.

Quality birth support looks like:
- a massage in between contractions
- little reminders to eat and drink
- suggestions for position changes
- creating a calm atmosphere
- believing that you can even when fear starts to set in
- helping you under

Even though this birth didn’t go exactly as planned and a c-section became necessary, it was beautiful example of the whole birth team all working together to provide the best support possible for these parents and their sweet baby. I’m g
