Hi, Iβm Meredith!
Welcome, Iβm really glad youβre here! My goal is for you to learn a little bit about me to gauge if I would be a good fit to support you as your birth doula.
This is a picture of myself and my husband, Clint. We met in college and after dating for a few months, we got married (best decision ever). He is my best friend and best encourager in my doula business.
Growing up, I always had a beautiful interest in pregnancy, birth, motherhood, and babies. Through college, my love supporting other women going through this season grew immensely. Getting married, I learned all about the process and science of natural family planning. The Lord used what I was learning to help answer other womenβs questions about family planning as well! Through that process, I came upon doula work, realizing it was a beautiful extension of educating and walking alongside women not just in their fertility, but also their pregnancy and motherhood journeys. I graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with business administration which I am so grateful for that education in starting Walker Beside You.
Pursuing doula training, it was the first time in my life I absolutely loved what I was learning. Now, I am a certified birth doula through DONA International (leader in evidence-based doula training). This certification keeps me accountable and helps me to better serve my clients through continued education and mentorship.
Pregnancy and birth is beautiful, hard, life changing, intense, and exciting all at the same time. I donβt want you to go through it alone or feel overwhelmed. Helping you through your pregnancy and birth would be such an honor. I am passionate about you feeling supported, educated, empowered, and cared for in the best way possible through this season.
Other than my passion for doula work, I love Jesus with all my heart, hiking, fitness, honey lattes, game nights, a shopping spree, and baking sourdough. My husband and I also serve as the Youth Directors at our local church. I feel really grateful to be in this space of supporting families. I firmly believe that doula work allows me to better love the Lord and love His people (Mark 12:30-31).
Your Friend,
Meredith :)
